Camera Labs

I recently bought the canon sx1 is, I bought it to satisfy my need to record video footage as well as take good jpegs and eventually move on to raw. I had some issues with the sd cards I was using which have now been resolved but think there maybe a fault with the camera. After I have recorded some footage I switch the camera into play mode and there sometimes appears a message saying unidentified image. If I move onto the next image and then back again this rectifies the problem, when I try to transfer the video footage to my laptop the camera doesn't want to know although it will transfer stills providing there is no video to transfer.

Any ideas?

Sound weird, I never had any problems regarding HD video with that camera...

Hi Keels, are you trying to transfer movies using the supplied cable? There have been some issues doing this with Canon cameras and certain computers or operating systems. Try it with a card reader instead.

Hmmm, Gordon has a point there, I always transferred files directly to my mac using the built-in SD card port... Try it directly with a card reader as Gordon suggests, that might be the issue.
