Some more moon pic taken with my Canon 40D through a Celestron C8 SCT with and without an Focal Reducer F6.3.

Pictures are too big for the forums so you will need to click on the link

My very first try shooting the moon.

My moon may be found here!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/49454923@N07/4535898122/

I still don't know how to attach photos directly into text from flickr because i can't link directly to a jpg.

It's an amateur attempt, but still. Using Pentax K200D, Tamron 70-300 LD Di at F8.0, ISO 100, 1/40 on a Velbon Aluminum Tripod. 100% crop. I may have forgot to turn of the IS. I honestly don't remember. Anyway, would my lens benefit from a cheap 1.7 teleconverter in a situation like this? Woult af work at 300 (510) mm with heaps of light available?

Sorry for the bad quality(did a bit of sharpening as well),my compact is the only camera that provides me with 400mm+ range. :)

F/5.6, 1/125, spot metering, ISO 100 (like always)

Here's my best first attempt from a few nights ago.

Image

ISO: 800
Exposure: 1/500 sec
Aperture: 8.0
Focal Length: 400mm

I was focusing manually, and I think I didn't quite get it right. I'll keep practicing.
