I want to get a Manfrotto Tripod. I am thinking of 190XPROB, what do you guys think? and what ball head do you suggest i get. thank you

Consider the 055XPROB.
Basicly the same as the 190 but extends further so you dont have to stand on your knees :)

I have the 190XPROB and like it. I'm 186cm tall and it is not too short for me.

The 055 would be fine also, but it is larger and heavier to carry.

I have the 460 Mg head - not a ball head, but it is light and very versatile. Other than that, I'm no expert on ballheads and so won't offer an opinion. My sort of work requires the adjustment of each axis individually.

yeah my point about it being short was that I would like to avoid extending the center column as much as possible. Just got in to my head it gets less stable the more you extend it. I might very well be wrong though. :)
