I'm looking for a wireless trigger for my Pentax k20d I'm using a Bower flash model sfd926p. I found a couple on ebay coming from china but not sure if they are compatible can anyone help?

If I were you I'd ask a question to the seller to be sure. I have no experience with these triggers because I use Pentax flashes. I would be interested in knowing the answer to this question as well.

I think i've found what your looking at.

Thanks for the link! I might give that one a try. I have been using a sync cord with my flash but kinda wanna go wireless so i can use a tripod! Just having a little trouble understanding how to achieve this and what i need. Don't have alot of money to waste if ya know what i mean!

yes I can relate.

Getting your flash off camera is a lot easier then people think. If your tired of the sync cord then wireless is the next cheapest solution. I recently picked up a flash stand, umbrella, and bracketing arm for under $100. It works really well for diffusing the light. Your K20D already has a trigger built into its on camera flash to trigger Pentax brand flashes that have a built in wireless slave already. Truthfully if you have a wireless hot shoe adapter then you can use any brand flash with your camera. Check out the Strobist: Lighting 101 blog ( for more information on this equipment.

Im not sure where you live but if your in USA you can pick up a hot shoe slave from B&H for $30. This is a shoe you would mount onto an umbrella bracket or a tripod if it has a 1/4 thread.

Im almost certain you can use your pop up flash to trigger it but Id ask the guy at the store to be certain.

If your from Canada then you can get one at Henry's here:

Of course its $90 in Canada... just like everything else, twice as much money here.[/url]
