I love soup in the winter. This Beef Barley Soup jar was a gift so preparation was simple.
Just add Beef and water...simmer for 90 minutes...and umm umm good!
Beautiful in the jar! Tasty in the pot!

My first On Assignment submission. I struggled a little with this trying to get the depth of field I was after (I did not succeed) and lighting it well. This was the best I could come up with.

Camera Model: Canon 50D
Lens and focal length: 18-200mm @ 40mm
Aperture: f/4.5
Shutter Speed: 1/60s
Sensitivity: ISO 800
Post processing: PS CS2

EDIT: Picture removed as it was too large. Please read the rules for the assignment - max. dimensions are 500pixels. LahLahSr

im not sure if im taking it too far...
feel free to disqualify this picture if its too much postprocessing.

some eggshells
left: changed hue
right: inverted and changed hue so that the brown shells have their original colour back

i noticed the colours are oversaturated in internet explorer and other applications that dont support colour management. firefox is good.

Not much of a food photographer, so my entry isn't nearly as good as some of the others this months... Oh well, I'm in for the fun of it!

Image
(or Larger)

Camera Model: Sony DSLR-A700
Lens and focal length: 50mm f/1.4
Aperture: f/1.4
Shutter Speed: 1/125
Sensitivity: ISO 3200
Post processing: RAW conversion, duplicated original layer >> Overlay blending mode on the top layer >> decrease fill and opacity >> desaturate original layer. Oh, and I framed it... :)
