Hi Neil,

As this is a question about a Sigma lens I've moved the thread. I can't find any reviews but American Photo Magazine seems to think it worthy of their Best Buy award for a lens in 2009. I believe the associated website is PopPhoto and the award write-up is here but, again, no review. Maybe this Flickr search is of help?

Bob.

My question: Why?

The Nikon 55-200 with VR is only £150. Why would you go for the Sigma?

Both the Sigma and Nikon will have a focus motor built into the lens. They will work on your Nikon D60.

Click on the £150 link in the previous post? Here's a list of other vendors who have it for slightly more. Notice that WarehouseExpress is significantly more expensive than the others.

Given that Bob has posted the reseller ratings website albeit with the wrong seller, you could always do a search for the right camerabox.co.uk site and find this. They seem average, I've bought a few filters from them before and I've had no problems. Having said that, I've never had to try their returns department.

If you're concerned about the vendor, there's a huge list of vendors to pick from in the listing I gave you. Just remember to buy from our Camera Labs' associate links so that you help support htis site.
