whats a simple easy program to use to mark my pictures?

There are lots and lots of software available that will do this specific task for you. A simple search on google "software to add watermark" will give you a good place to start.

As with any software you are to buy, it will depend on what you are willing to spend. My own preferred choice is Adobe Lightroom 2, but it does far more than just add watermarks.

If you just want to add a visible watermark, like a copyright message, any image editing application will do, Google embed visible watermark for a tutorial. If you're worried about people stealing your photos on the web, take a look at this https://www.digimarc.com/ It's not cheap, but if photography is your living, or you have a lot of photos online it's worth considering.
