Hello
My daughter has been saving up really hard for a Panasonic digital compact camera.
Is the Lumix DMC FS62 any good?

Really want to stick with Panasonic as I have a G1 and TZ6 (both of which she can use with great results)

She has around £100 to spend. So if you have any other Panasonic suggestions please feel free to do so

I’ve never seen this camera, but the DMC FS62 is a 10MP camera with a 33-132mm (4X) lens. This camera sells roughly for the same price as the newer DMC FX65 which is a 12MP camera with a 25-125mm (5X) lens which will give a far wider angle? Certainly worth while looking at this one too!

We haven't reviewed that one (so I can't comment), but we do have some budget models in our best buys section here:

Good old Panasonic - it's the FX60 in Europe.

Yeah, I really think you can try. It's -for a 9 years old- a great camera.
