Hi everyone!

I lost a 2 GB SDHC card for my Canon G9, and so I´m looking for a new one. It should be bigger, because I´d like to use it to make movies (2 GB is only about 6 minutes).
Can anyone recommend me a card?
I heard that 16 GB cards are too big and don´t live long. Is that true?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day! :-)

Stephan

I think the SanDisk ultra series give good value for money. No need to worry about the 16GB cards being unreliable, it's not true and the most people keep well within the maximum number of read/write cycles the card can handle anyway.

Thank you! Meanwhile I saw, there are even 32 GB cards (Class 4) of the SanDisk ultra II series. Are those good enough for making movies? I have a SanDisk ultra III card at the moment (but only 2 GB).

P.S.: I just saw a 32 GB card from another company: 18 EUR (ca. 29 AUD) cheaper, Class 6 (instead of Class 4) and 20 MB/s instead of 15 MB/s (what speed is needed for making movies anyway?). This looks much better, right? What do you think?
