WestCoast,
What a unique way to show the old (History) and the new, good work. I got a glimpse of it last year from a tourist bus but no shot. Is it behind Robson St? _________________ Nikon D40X, Nikkor 18-55, Nikkor 55-200 VR, Nikkor 70-300 Non VR |

Glad you like it.
That’s a reflection of the Marine Building on Burrard street by the harbour. A classic 1939 tower, similar to the Chrysler Building. _________________ ALPHA 700 ~ SAL 18250 |

This is so hard! Waaay too many choices to make. Decision, Decision, Decisions.
Perhaps I might go for something that includes astrophotography Ive been experimenting with! _________________ My deviantART page =)

Korea has (apparently) 5000 years of history. I had a few ideas about shooting temples and palaces and the like, but I thought I'd try and focus on some family history with my picture. Family, tradition, and continuity is a huge deal here, so I hope I've captured a reasonably important milestone in one family's history. _________________ Olympus E520

I have to do a challenge themed 'old' for my photography class, perhaps I will be able to combine it with this one. Unfortunately the weather sucks and my new D90 won't come in until Saturday. _________________ canon SX10 IS

Another month..........another struggle to get something sorted. In my area there is one historic landmark, which apart from one tower, the rest is basically a pile of rubble and stones. How extremely hard it is to make this rubble and stone look `interesting`. I have been early in the morning, (catching the sunrise) i returned again a few days later when the rain had stopped and photographed it as the sun was going down. Igot down low,
I scaled the rubble balancing precariously trying for a different angle.
I peeked between holes in rubble for for a `framing`
I waited for a dog walker and a dog.{to add interest}
I captured and snapped walkers trying to give a sense of perspective.
Even the lady in a red coat failed to add `colour`
I returned home dejected, downtrodden, muddy, and my patience is wearing thin.
I have one photograph,nothing special so if all else fails this weekend ,that one photograph will have to do.

murdockcrc, that is an excellent photo. I love the framing as well as the colors. Great shot and a job well done. _________________ My deviantART page =)
