Dear all!

A few weeks ago ACDSee presented their new software, Pro3. ACDSee is well known for it´s very good archiving methods. But now, it does good post-processing as well. I downloaded the testversion, and I must admit that I like it. I think that one can compare it with Adobe´s Lightroom. Because I use it only for a short time now, I cannot give detailed info about how it stands up against Lightroom yet.

Furthermore, DxO presented today their new version 6.0. The interface is completely new and I am downloading the testversion right now. In a few days I will let you know what my opinion is.

Kind regards,

I've used it for just over a week now and I can say that it doesn't stack up to Lightroom at all. Lightroom is still faster when working with large libraries, and I've found adjustment brushes to be a lot more flexible and usable compared to the controls in ACDSee Pro.

Haven't tried DXO so I can't comment about that package.

I was very impressed with the processing of DxO 5 when I tried it, less so the speed and interface, so I'm definitely going to give v6 a try.
