Hey guys, as the title goes... where is the e-p1 review? Is there going to be one? I've been looking forward to one from Gordon for a while now...

We haven't see one for the E-30 either, so maybe Olympus just does not care.

Hi guys, Olympus mysteriously didn't care about the E-30, but I have had an E-P1 for some time and have almost finished my review of it - it will come in the next few weeks.

i must say that after holding an e-p1 i don't see what all the "too large" fuss is about in some reviews. combined with the 14-42 mft lens it was extremely light. i couldn't see myself using the camera with must regular ft lenses (35mm macro seems like something i could recommend for it size wise). i would use it with a lot of good old 35mm primes though. seems like the perfect camera for those lenses.

This might be a silly question, but from looking at your user name it looks like you already have an EP-1 and have had one for quite a while now. Why are you looking forward to a review of a camera you've owned for some time? Surely it doesn't matter anymore?

If you own one, I'd love to hear about your experience with the camera so far...

Yep, it's that terrible part of human nature that's like rubbernecking at a crash. We can't help but want to read reviews of things we already own to find out if we bought a lemon or not! Of course this process can involve disappointment, or disagreement! But it's nice when you read a positive review of something you own as it confirms you as a wise and sensible buyer!

I don't claim to be Gordon in any way, but if anyone is desperate for a fix there is my review in the user reviews section.

Just to spice matters up a little, 43rumors report Olympus China site have leaked the upcoming existence of the E-P2 on their site, although there is zero info on it other than the name, which anyone could guess anyway... now there is speculation if an Olympus event at the end of the month might be when it is formally announced or if Olympus are doing other products at that event.

I don't collect cameras for fun, but to use. The GF1 doesn't get me anything I need over the E-P1.

Hi everyone, I just published my review of the Olympus E-P1 here:

I'll lock this thread now and start a new one for it...
