WOW... I'm still on my butt...
The patience you must have... I know it's impossible for me I either fall a sleep, or get attacked by the mosquito.

Just a quick... whatever this is today. Flying ants? They were everywhere outside. Lots of small ones, fewer bigger ones. This one decided to come home with me, so I shot it. Wouldn't keep still though...

I like the fly, I like the flower, I don't like finding a crop that works framing this shot...

This one was ok with posing for me, even though I tried to shove a ringflash in its face. Too many reeds getting in front of me though, and when I tried to move some away I scared it off. Doh!

Another one from RIAT, but this wasn't on the flying schedule.

I didn't bring a macro lens with me, so this is a 100% crop.

Some brilliant photos everybody. Quite a few i have not seen before. I must admit whilst out the other week looking for the ugly bugs i cam across many different species i had not see before.

MartinB i like the shot of the shot of all the coloured flies.

Got that one crawling over my son's hand:

Shot with Sigma 150/2.8 at f/11, 1/500 sec, ISO 560 at around 80cm distance.

Possibly my first decent bug in flight? Was on 1D, wish I had the 7D at the time so there's more detail potential.
