Camera Labs

I was tempted to post this as September's assignment entry, but I somehow decided against it. I said goodbye to a nice glass of white wine and a delicious slice of chocolate cheese cake

This is a JPEG straight out of the camera. Canon 50D, Sigma 70-200mm at 70mm, f2.8. No PP done.

I like it. Clean, simple without being boring. Lack of colour lets the light play more. Or something like that - not my strong area...

I do wonder, what would it be like if the glass was in focus? Or moving them slightly to alter the balance. And, as a final thought, if there are interesting possibilities with the refraction through the glass.

I did only notice the glass being out of focus when I loaded the images onto my computer. I didn't look too closely on the camera's LCD or else I would have spotted it

Next experiment might be to do something with refraction.

Nice, I like how the glass added an effect at the corner of the table.
The shot angle seems really perfect.
