relax, the animal was in the shade, caged- it was actually pretty dark.

on top of that i didnt notice that i had the cir. polarizer on the lens.

You could use a mono- or tripod.
I got the sigma 500mm prime, i use a beanbag or use my tripod.
Hand holding this is nearly impossible (4kg = 8.8 lbs)

i dont really think so. i've been able to pull off non fuzzy shots at 1/250 or 1/100th.
