I need a bag for my laptop and my canon 50D w 17-85mm lens. i also want room for another lens when i get one and a flash. but since this is for uni im also going to need room for a small lunch box, water bottle, wallet etc.

ive come across the lowepro 250 and 350 fastpacks. what is the difference between the two models?

if anyone had any other suggestions for bags that will suit my use let me know. other brands are also ok. but all the stores in australia stock lowepro and i will not have an issue getting them in + getting warranty. but if i can get the brand shiped to Australia then let me know about it.

looking to spend about $150

thanx in advanced

ok the difference of these two bags are the 350 is a little bigger than the 250. the 350 is able to hold up to a 17" notebook and has a little more space to put your gadgets in.

ok technical specs per bag:

250: 1 digital SLR with a mid-range zoom lens attached plus 2-3 additional lenses or flash units (up to a 70-300 f/4.5, 15.4" widescreen notebook, memory cards, batteries and cables

350: 1 PRO digital SLR with lens attached (up to 70-200mm f/2.8 ), 2-3 additional lenses or flash units, 17" widescreen notebook, memory cards, batteries and cables
(pro is a little bigger than the regular slr if u didn't know:)

hope this helps

consider lowepro's Primus AW. I bought mine on ebay for around $120cdn which is $110usd or less. great bag! very stylish compared to many others.

333.
I like the Fastpack 350 much better. Sure it can hold more lenses etc.
The chest/ Sternum strap is only included on the Fastpack 350. This keeps the backpack straps from separating.
A very important feature.

Also checkout the Kata DR 467 ($129). Almost exactly the same as the Fastpack 250. Doesn't have the fast access panel, but comes with an AW cover. Also (arguably) more comfortable. Looks quite a bit nicer too.

It also has compression straps, which let you strap a tripod to the side

Definite alternative to the Fastpack 250. Check it out

I have the Fastpack 350, and can tell you it's a nice bag and is VERY comfortable to wear, it also holds loads of stuff, and there is masses of space in the top for a lunch box, and the laptop compartment is big enough for a 17" slim notebook. It is well made but very bland, in comparison to the much nice Kata bag!
Hope that helped!
