I've gone all out and bougt my first (maybe my last) proper tripod. Ive had two other tripods that both broke under the weight of my camera and lenses as they were made of cheap plastic.

I've now bought a Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 and 808RC4 Standard 3-Way Head. I'm currently travelling so can't wait to test it out! I'll let you know what I think once it's been tested. First impressions are good!

Well after being able to try them for a couple of weeks now, I am supremely happy with my purchases. I've never felt quality or stability lik it. The centre pole design is fantastic as are the independently movable legs. The head is superb, so solid, even with a heavy lens, and I love the spring loaded movement which makes it easy to position the camera. It locks into position without movement. Very pleased. :D

Congrats! That's a good combo! Enjoy it!
