it will be with viewfinder, but the problem is it will be similar to Panasonic G1 which is just $630 / blue/red version.

The EP-1 just has this old school cool to it. The small design and ability to change lens just excites me. I mean... it's smaller than the E-420! It's price is higher than I'd like (G1 pricing would be nice...), but I think it helps add value to it's history. The price protects it from becoming a, "one in every home" kind of camera, which I like. Let the population use the compacts!

I'd get an EP-1 in an instant if it was half the price or even 3/4 of the price. I'd love a little compact camera that is versatile like the EP-1 but not at that price :(

After having looked at the current price in Germany I was equally shocked as most posters are here. I was also shocked to see some of the new Pana prices
Getting out my calculator and deducting 30% of the initial starting (list-)price of 700 EUR (incl. 19% you-know-VAT) I'm still getting 490 EUR w/o lens. So even predicting the lowest expected street price in the future this body is still very expensive. The missing mirror and optical viewfinder should make it a real cheap body to manufacture. A street price of 290 EUR (body only) should be more than adequate. But that seems faaaaar away.

What a pity!
