Hi there,

My mother dearly wants a digital photo frame, so as a good son I started do to the research into these little critters.

Has anyone over here got any experience with the kind of frames?
Please post your experience with them if you have one!

Currently I'm looking into two different sony models, the:

Besides the difference in internal memory I just can't seem to find out the difference between these two models.

with regards,

Looks like you have found the only difference the X has 2GB of internal memory (4,000 images) and the V has 1GB (2,000 images)

Detailed specs for the V ... ifications

and the X ... ifications

But like you say everything else seems exactly the same.

For some reason I've not been able to find any digital frames in the standard 3:2 ratio, they are either 4:3 16:9, or in the case of the Sony's you mention 15:9, this makes for tedious cropping. As far as the resolution if it's not sufficient the pictures will look grainy. I have a Pandigital I picked up at Costco a couple years back it's an 8" 4:3 800x600 and it looks great for me.
