In the early evening sun I watched this dear little bundle of fluff for quite a while a running and jumping about in and out of the sea, too quick to get a shot. Then all of a sudden he ran forward, stopped raised his paw looking at his master to throw the ball for him. The sun creating wonderful colours on his wet fur and catchlights shining in his eyes, the expression on his face was endearing, i just quickly pressed the button. A wonderful moment was captured. Assignment sorted. :D sue

Its bright and sunny outside, we are at the door of the church, face has too much shadow, people roaming around in the background...popped the flash out and shoot!
I didnt expect the photo will turn out this nice, in my opinion at least).

Flash gun was pointed to fire at the ceiling, 90 degrees to the right of the camera. This gives the scene some directional lighting. In post processing, I tweaked the levels a little and added some artificial vignetting.

Today I was honored to take photos at the "Blessing of the Bikers" A giant meeting of different bikers/clubs, from Angels, to Sundowners..all California Biker Clubs. This was a Christian event, held at church called LIVE RIDE, an every year event..all the bikers, their bikes, and non bikers alike received a blessing, a bible, and then they all took off on a ride..to say it was a blast, is an understatement..I loved every minute..
great music, great bbq and some interesting folk...there were about 300 of em..and I gave the old 40D a workout this weekend..whew..I love this stuff. Yes it was around noonish... and about 100 degrees..

ISO 160
F/ 5.0
SS 1/400

love,
p

It was Woodstock Anniversary day and the hippys came out to play. This particular flower child is a friend who I snapped when we were all down the beach in Sydney, grooving to the sound of Hendrix, Creedence and The Doors.

18-105 VR lens @ 105mm
