I know some People use Picasa, I don't really like it much..
Do anybody know any other program?

My personal favorite is Adobe Lightroom.

Both a great photo organization program as well as a great photo editing program. It isn't as complex as Adobe Photoshop, but does offer an incredibly user-friendly, clean, and efficient layout. As far as the editing aspect is concerned, it offers all the necessities that a professional photographer may need.

I highly recommend it, and you should definitely download the free trial over at Adobe.

RAW files aren't for 'opening up' and viewing. They are for developing your finished product from.
RAW files come from the camera with zero image processing which on their own will look dull and lifeless.

Get yourself a copy of of the freeware *RAWTherapee* if you can't afford Lightroom (the best RAW developer in my opinion) and learn how to bring out the best in your shots.

If you're shooting RAW then you are on the right track for getting the best results, but the RAW file is just the starting point.
