That is very true !
I have another dilemma as well,
my computer is a little elderly and only has USB1.1
So, do I risk opening the box to install a big drive (are IDE drives still available I wonder ?) and/or to install a USB2 card.
Because, as we all know, opening the box risks letting out all the smoke and once that escapes the electrons wont work any more!

Even worse news is that in the UK rain will continue, perhaps turning to snow, so no chance of seeing/photographing the Leonid meteor shower tonight
But for those who have clear and dark skies about 23UT(+/-) some predictions are for an enhanced display about that sort of time, but perhaps not as spectacular as we had a few years ago.

The good news is that IDE drives are still to be found. Follow this link to Amazon.co.uk (affiliate store) and search for "IDE drives".

Get advice if you are unsure about adding a second IDE drive. Ideally your current drive will be on a cable with a spare second connector and your new drive must be configured as a Slave. The other connection to make is a power cable.

If you open your PC case then don't disturb the mirrors and the smoke won't escape!
