Just like being back at school. I never did my homework until the second before it had to be handed in :D

Looking back at the other entries I have to admit maybe mine to too similar to Mike's... oh well, 'tis done now.

I did have other ideas but reality never seemed to agree with my imagination.

Wow, that was a difficult vote. The topic itself doesn't make it very easy to say whether an approach is good or not. I really enjoyed the posts though.

Lensbaby, `congratulations` on winning this months assignment. Well done. There were some really great entries too. sue :) It seems unusually late this month that Gordon has not been on announcing the winner. ????

Apologies for the delay in announcing the winner of June’s Assignment!

Congratulations to Cameralabs regular lensbaby for their win with 20% of the votes. Coming joint second are mikeroch and Orsan Kart with 11% each, followed by lewisleu in close third with 10% of the votes. A great assignment with some really imaginative entires – thanks for setting the theme mikeroch, and thanks to everyone who entered.

As always this means the winner, lensbaby, gets to choose the theme for our next assignment in August. Lensbaby, you have until the 31st of July to let us know the theme, although as always, the sooner we know, the sooner we can start thinking about it! Please post the theme in this thread.

Gordon

Thank you to everyone who participated in Mikeroch's great theme for June. I am very honored to have been chosen, and thank all of you.

The theme I am choosing for August is "portraiture." A portrait is a representation in which the face and expression are predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality and even "mood" of the subject, often showing the subject looking directly into the lens to engage the subject with the viewer.

Since I love animal portraits, I am going to include this option. Please do your best to create a professional quality entry, whether the girl next door, your spouse, child, pet, the cat in the window, the sheep in the meadow...but make it portraiture. Think of it in terms of an ad agency shot, not necessarily like a school yearbook shot. Most of all HAVE FUN..everything is allowed for post processing.
