Have got quite a few beaver shots so was going for something different today... was trying to capture the instant of a tail slap just as the tail impacts and just before the dive but was juuuuuuust a split second too late  all I got was a rump and a foot :P what I do like about the pic though is that you can see by the coloration of the water just below the splashing wall of water that there is a large impact crater caused by the tail impact.

Not the best by any means, but the rats really didn't want to come out into the sunlight for me. This was the only shot I managed to get of them recently that wasn't only a tail!

For your enjoyment, a different squirrel and an assorted rodent! I suppose it's not technically a different squirrel if the species has been posted before, though, eh?

I heart squirrels.

Pretty sure these aren't "rodents" persay but, rather than start a new thread...
Had a pretty neat encounter with these two last evening.
I call them Jekyl & Hyde
One second they were all friendly the next ...lookout
Both had ticks stuck to their eyelids...maybe that was it?...lol
Interestingly tho I caught a Mosquito stealing the ticks supper, great to see they too have "pests"

rodent pics these days are all too common for me so I'm trying to scale back and wait for something out of the ordinary... these 2 I think are such..

this was around the calgary airport while I was waiting for my connecting flight.. took a walk in a field and found these 2... pic one reminds me of an old guy on the right all grumpy with his sweetie next to him lookin for a kiss on the cheek... pic two she turns her head just as he is to give her a peck... yes... at times my imagination is out there... either that or I'm spending too much time in the bush :P
