Guys, just wanted to get some critique on my website whenever you get a chance.....

I dont have alot of photos uploaded , but there are some.

Please keep in mind that the three weddings on there were shot from the back benches... so they should all be considered "candids " as no staging and my seat at dinner and in the church determined my framing....lol

www.sayphoto.ca (stands for Scottish And York PHOTOgraphy)

In the Clients section you can use passwords : " pastapaul " for one wedding and " pines " for the other.

I look forward to SOME input .... good or bad.

Thanx in advance

The website look absolutely gorgeous - great layout in my opinion! and there are some great photos (I especially like the 2 boxers).

Not sure if you want us to comment on photos as well, but some shots appear to be blured and/or the people have red eyes which could easily be corrected in PP :/

Basically the layout and any opinions on the shots is appreciated.... I will take them with a grain of salt as I know they need work....

the site looks good, but FLash is a little bit ''played out'' imo.

But great job, did you do it yourself or you used a template?

:D

like the flash, like the song, altho a bit cheesy :?

as someone said some of the pics are blurred.

when i click on an option at the bottom, some kind of photo and arrow apears moving the flash frame to the left, the that small pic and arrow dissapears? that confuses me.

Great website!

The site looks really generic, like one you can make from CarbonMade. The red backdrop is irritating to the eyes and evokes a sense of restlessness. You really don't need the music in the background as it doesn't appeal to everyone who visits your site.

One thing that you should change on your html is the title.

Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>BluDomain, BluDomainhosting, Bluedomain, photography websites</title>

You should change it to your website title.

Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>Scottish and York Photography</title>

First off....a splash page? I can see the point but I prefer to be taken directly to the content, not an internittent "welcome" page.
Secondly, the wite froze for 3 secs when I clicked enter, then proceeded to load for 30 seconds. Then it froze when it was at 100%. I've waited 2 minutes and nothing happened.

Using the latest firefox on windows vista. 3 GHZ quadcore.

Checked it again, still the same default page title, and the flash still didn't load in 30 secs, so I left again. Also, I don't think the splash page's intro pic is great, I think you have better ones :)

I agree with earlier comments that a professional site with images that have red eye is probably not a good advert.

On the RATES page the way some of the text bleeds across the image (in Safari 4.0.2) means it is not all clear.

When you stop the music the EQ graphic keeps going and it maybe nice to just have an on/off button net to the EQ to turn it off.

When you click on a section the thumbnails appear and then are removed from the right hand side of the viewing window. Maybe they are supposed to be there (this maybe browser specific) and my browser is removing them.

Otherwise it is a nice looking site.
