I've always been a fan of computer games, and Zelda was one of my favourites.



I know that this photo could be better, the reflection of the room and myself in the piggy bank are not prizewinning additions in this picture.
But I don't want to turn to photoshop. Thing that are there, are there. and things that aren't just aren't. Other photo's from this set-up don't have the reflection, but they have other flaws that are far worse that this, like the little fellow being warped by the curvature of the glass.

tripod+polarizing filter...it's gonna be difficult to light Link better because he's incased in glass. just get rid of the reflection and you're set.

*most of my photos nowadays come with a blog post. Please take some time and stop by

if you surround the scene in a poster board paper of your color choice, then you won't have the distracting reflection of the room, and the bank will take on the solid color of the paper. A bounce or diffused light at a angled down position could work well here. In any event, from one Zelda fan to another, I think you've got something really cool already, the dark blue and the flowers and grass really work with the zelda theme, particularly being the cel-shaded version. I'm going to have to scout ebay for one of these piggy banks for my son, where the heck did you find it?

*edit - I meant umbrella, not bounce.

Thank you all for the suggestions. When I got some spare time I'm certainly going to improve this shoot.

The piggy bank was a gift for by birth day, so I don't know where it comes from.
