Its me kris, a magazine editor wants some of my pics, he wants me to resize them to 300 DPI, I have no idea how to do that.

Hi Kris,

There should be a setting somewhere in your image editing software to allow you to do this. For example, the Image Size dialog in Photoshop is the place to go. Notice that if you change the DPI figure first that also has the effect of resizing the image dimension in pixels. But if you want to retain the pixel count you can then change it back - doing so won't affect your new DPI figure. Your own software may behave slightly differently but you should be able to coax it into giving the desired outcome.

I think we need to know what photo editing you have ie. Photoshop, Lightroom or other.
I took the liberty of saving the first photo of the helicopter of yours and ran it through Photoshop CS3 and as it stands it has a resolution of 72 Dpi and a file size of 2.14 Mb, in the image tab I scrolled down to image size and increased the size to 300Dpi but has the effect then of making the file size 37.2 Mb.

Edit Just done what Bob says, of taking the size back to 1024x731 and the size then stays at 2.14 Mb and retains the 300Dpi.
