Not this month Ed - 4 exams next week in quick succession, but after that I'll have the camera out again. :)

The cake was amazing: a beautiful subtle pink heart with a few of these
flowers decorating the top. From a couple of feet away the flowers looked real. This particular flower was used to decorate the knife. I'm still going through the photos - and will likely update flikr with the first proper album very shortly!

There are some fantastic submissions in May's thread and am very much looking forward to the diversity June should bring.

Jamie

I voted for mikeroch.
Seems the best theme-fited photo. :)

chadpope got my vote for "his" filigree spider legs after some consideration.
As always, it wasn't an easy choice among other good photos.
But "his" spiders were impressive to me.

regards,
HTG

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that! Every month there are so many great submissions that I am flattered for every (if any) votes I get. I do enjoy seeing how other people interpret the themes that are assigned.

MIDNIGHT GMT 21ST JUNE 2009 - POLLS CLOSED: WE HAVE A WINNER!

With 11% of the votes, Laurel has won May's Assignment - congratulations! Coming a close second with 8% of the votes is shallowlife, and in joint third place are mikeroch and daisy with 7% each

Congratulations to everyone who entered!

As always, this means Laurel gets to choose the theme for next month's Assignment, and has until midnight GMT on the 30th of June to tell us what it is, along with any conditions. Laurel, please let us know the theme in the May 2009 comments thread, and if you can do it before the 30th, that'd give us time to have a think about it!

Thanks for all the votes!

Since July is one of the hottest months for us in the northern hemisphere, something that comes to mind is 'extremes'. As for post processing, anything goes!
