Are you just looking for a domain name or a host as well? It sounds like you are looking for a hosting site.

I use these people http://www.fasthosts.co.uk/ they give a choice between Windows or Linux servers prices range from £5 to £16 per month depending on the features you require. At the moment when you sign up for 12 months you get 3 months free.

If you just want a site for photos and video you could look at a service like smugmug.

How about godaddy? I know a lot of codes which can give you 10% off orders of 30$ or more :)

I use one.com, and it's good enough for me. I don't really use my website yet though, haven't had time to design something that I'd want to show 'customers'....

I use Easyspace.com who are based in Glasgow. Their customer support is quick and efficient and have many sites hosted with them - including my own.

Domain names, are included for free with their hosting packages.

The one I use frequently is the StarterPlus Web Hosting. This gives you the following:
* Free Top Level domain name
* 3GB Web space
* 15GB Bandwidth
* 200 mailboxes
* MySQL V5 / Access Databases

Which is £3.99 a month. You can pay for it all in one go yearly which is what I do, and it's about £56 by the time VAT is added to it. There's also a multitude of addons in the Cpanel too.

Never had any issues with server downtime either.

Be careful with the unlimited transfer statement. There is no such thing. It'll be a high amount of bandwidth that you get allocated and anything over said amount and your account will be investigated. I've had hosts like this before who claim to offer unlimted bandwidth - but in reality they only give about 5x more than your webspace.

So you already have a domain name (and now a host too, unfortunately). For the purpose of showing off pictures (and may be some more) I think you could just have opted for a free host. Not all free hosts are bad. I know this for sure. If you didn't need an absolutely TLD, I would also advise to go for a longer, but free domain name. After all, people usually bookmark the sites they visit and like, nobody "writes down" urls in the address bar. You could have included it in your signature here. TLD is mostly useful to commercial sites. And I think .co.uk is not a very short tail either. I would have preferred .net or .org more, if not .com

Use Godaddy. Great customer support.

I bought my 4 domains from them and am paying 6 dollars a month or 150GB space and 1500GB transfer.

Recommended.

I think photobucket or picasa or blogspot or flickr would have been good enough for what I see there, unless you want a site for more than photographic reasons.

www.smugmug.com

Use it. And add this code to your coupon box during signup to save $5: FaSnr505DOOGQ

It's simple elegant and much much friendly than Picasa or Flickr.
