Hello everybody

I'm looking for a decent messenger bag/backpack that i could store my dslr, 2 or 3 lenses and a couple of accessories (gorillapod, remote shutter). If possible I would also like to use it as an everyday backpack as well (i am a uni student, so the odd notebook might need to be thrown in there )

I can't afford a crumpler bag, as they sell for a minimum of AU$150, and im not particularly a fan of the style. However i am a fan of the concept of carrying something that isn't overly conspicuous (crumpler will soon become the "bag to steal" anyway in my mind, as its gaining a reputation for holding expensive gear.)

I would like to spend around half that amount -- is that even possible when looking for a decent camera bag?

So yeah any recommendation would be appreciated

Domke sells relatively inconspicuous looking camera bags as does National Geographic but I'm not sure about the pricing because I'm not too familar with them. They should be cheaper than Crumpler.Domke also sells padded inserts that you can put into an ordinary bag to help protect your camera.

Crumpler actually sells a line of bags called "The Bucket" which is basically a padded bag that you put within another bag. It's cheaper but unfortunately retains their styling but if you don't mind it being hidden inside another bag then you may want to consider that.
