There are a lot of pictures in this set, some haven't been uploaded yet. If you do like what you see in this thread, I would appreciate you viewing the rest of the images on my Flickr by clicking http://www.flickr.com/photos/id510/sets/72157618730309657/.

With that said, here are some of the photos!

the last 2 shots are at iso 3200. i think that they clean up rather well in post production and still retain good detail.

Nice shots, especially the first three, and extra-especially the one of the strawberry!

Its amazing that the last one is ISO3200 and instead of being total trash, it actually comes out "nicely" as graining effect.

I can see how people would complain about iso 3200 if they are not planning to do any post production. however they should understand the risks of using high iso settings in the first place.

I use Nik Software plugin Dfine 2.0 to clean up the iso 3200 shots.

I can probably use this thread to whore out my own E-3 pics I took last week
http://www.flickr.com/photos/25906258@N06/

Posted in the other thread but shhhh!

Is it just me, or are the colors from the E-3 just a bit extra special? When I was shooting with the E-510, I heard alot about "olympus colors" but never really saw anything special until I picked up an E-3. Too bad the auto whitebalance is SOO terrible.

in my experience the auto white balance hasn't been bad at all in natural lighting. it isn't really until fluorescent lighting that it begins to crap out. the images from inside the antique shop were shot with auto white balance and came out rather accurate to how i actually saw the items inside the shop. once i get around to fluorescent lighting is usually where i want to do a custom white balance. i shoot raw so if i didnt like the output i could've easily made changes in lightroom, but i think it does its job.

i do like the colors from this camera. i personally have yet to experience the..."3D EFFECT!!!!!!"...but i have enjoyed the images from this camera and the e-520 very much.

on a side note, atomic have you updated your firmware to 1.4? a lot of users are complaining about terrible AF performance and say it hasn't improved from the v 1.3 mistakes. i don't have any real complaints with my camera running 1.4
