i'm trying to decide between these various all-in one-printers:

canon pixma mp 830, canon pixma mx 700, canon pixma mx 850

and HP Photosmart C7280 and HP OfficeJet L7780

please advise which is the best all around printer and most imp. which has best photo quality

I'd personally go with the HP Photosmart.

I've got the C4580 version, and it does borderless A4 printing. The quality of output is fantastic along with the speed it prints. I use it wirelessly too since the printer is two rooms away and find that it only takes a couple of seconds longer to transmit than if I had it plugged in via USB.

All other functions are great too - but I find the Photosmart wins on its printing capabilities (which is ideally what you want a printer to do ;) )
