No, not a picture of some fluffy lambs! I wanted to capture that wonderful moment when the leaves first start to open on the trees. Almost impossible to show that beautiful and almost luminous vibrant green colour but I loved the contrast between the new leaves of the tree on the right and the swollen leaf buds of the tree to its left. Not that you can see this on a titchy little 500 pixel thumbnail, of course, so I've provided a link to a less modestly sized version which shows off the 5D MkII sensor rather better! Not to be used during voting, of course.
Post-processing was initially done using Adobe Camera Raw and, apart from the usual tweaks, a graduated ND filter was applied to even out the sky. In Photoshop I applied a slight boost to the green of the leaves of that tree on the right. It still doesn't do justice to what the eye saw, unfortunately.
