So, what's your opinion on this lens?

I'll just jump in with my opinion.

I've used it for a year or so, and it's still working great. Sharp, fast, built well, weather sealed. Nice color rendering, nice contrast. Could be a little sharper at 200mm, but nothing excessive.

Great to see some activity from Oly users on this thread! :) I wish I had a 50-200!

Personally, I wish I had 35-200. The only real problem with the 50-200 for me is the variable aperture. Not a biggy in good light, not a biggy when you're at ISO400, but once you hit ISO800 it's irritating having to push exposures 2/3 of a stop.

Is there an Oly 35-200 lens?

There isn't. :)

If you want an Oly tele, your options are:

40-150/3.5-4.5 (old version)
40-150/4-5.6
18-180
70-300/4-5.6
50-200/2.8-3.5 nonSWD
50-200/2.8-3.5 SWD
35-100/2.0
90-250/2.8
150/2.0
300/2.8.

:)

Hi folks,

Just a reminder, please, that lens discussions properly belong in the appropriate manufacturer's section. The gallery is intended to showcase photographs taken with a particular lens. Thanks.

Bob.
