It is going to be tough to decide which picture to vote for, as there are a few that I really like already!

Blimey, Bob the Mod or should i say Bob the budding poet laureate.... whilst i liked the picture you submitted...i loved the description, that alone should win you some sort of recognition.
luminous vibrant green....
swollen leaf buds.......
Did you swallow a dictionary? A thesaurus? Wonderful stuff Bob,

Nice one, sue :)

Hi Sue,

Thanks for those kind words of your own. I have no hope at all of success this month as, IMHO, the entry is the strongest we've had for quite a while, with some truly beautiful shots, so I probably overdid the waxing lyrical bit in compensation. Still, it's the taking part that counts. By the way, I've never seen a "lyrical" so I've also no idea what one looks like after it has been waxed.

Bob.

It probably took me an hour to find my personal winner for April's "Spring" theme going back and forth through the pages. It is very enjoyable seeing so many great spring entries.

My vote went to "jka" (Joe), the violet Canadian flower in the snow. Congratulations and greetings! :D

While many pictures are showing blossoms in a very (!) beautiful way - the snow in jka's photo added a seasonal transition from winter to spring which I found as exciting as the enormous willpower of that flower wanting to grow and blossom no matter what.

That gave it the edge over two other photos in my final decision-making round.

All the best to the others!
HTG

PS:
And whoever it was who voted for me, thank you! This is my first vote ever! :-)

I voted for jka, as I too liked the seasonal transition.

21ST MAY MIDNIGHT GMT: WE HAVE A WINNER!

Congratulations to Mikeroch who's won April's Assignment with a decisive 15% of the total votes! Coming second and third were Syncharmony and logic_nguyen with 8% and 5% of the votes.

This is the second time Mikeroch has won, so he knows what happens next! Mikeroch, you have until midnight GMT on the 31st May to set the theme for June's Assignment along with any conditions for it - although we would all prefer if you let us know a bit sooner!

Let us know your decision in this thread - thanks!

Congratulations once again to Mikeroch and everyone who entered this month - an excellent assignment!

Gordon
