Love the colors of the metals in the third photo. They got worked out great.

Like the compositions of #1 to #3.

It's still a bit awkward to me seeing guns here although I don't mind them in person. Everytime I see them online it's like a kind of advertisement. That's how I feel about them.

regards,
HTG

A gun is no more dangerous than a vehicle...
Both are the same in the wrong hands.

Great shots!!

Not a rifle fan but I like the colors of the last two ****. Is there a meaning behind the variation of colors of the bullets?

EDIT: terribly sorry made a typo and spelled sh*t instead of shot!

Great shots John! I'm not into firearms, but I am into photography, and that's what's important.
Good work!

They're ok shots, although they don't really do much for me. I might try and do a macro of the end of the round (firing pin end), this might look cool, although you've probably done this before!
Good try anyway!

A bokeh ( ) of the firing pin end might be considered a better photo technically, but for a guy who's more interested in the subject than the photo, a large DOF (with more coverage overal) sure does work.

where i'm from, more people die from cars than guns.

don't turn my thread into a moral conversation, i understand what you mean but this is a photo forum. if you're adamant about this then we can take it into the PM.

thanks for the comment! I understand exactly what you mean- i posted this here because it's a still life photograph.

i have done shots like that before. back when i had my other rifle. i'm not sure if i posted them here. these aren't gonna be my best work, i shot these during a down time at the gun range. i had no intention of taking pics that day. i brought my d200 along for the ride just in case though.
