Having shot an event this weekend, I realized for the sake of organization and swiftness, I need to transport my stuff with just one bag. I must have bought at least 4 camera bags with me to the event.

Main things is I need it big enough to fit.....

Olympus E-510 with 50-200 SWD f2.8-3.5 attached
Olympus E-520 with 14-54 f2.8-3.5 attached
Three pro size flashes (2xFL50R and 1xVivitar285HV)
Room for 2-3 extra lenses
Extra room for charger, batteries, etc.....

Optional...
Be able to carry a mono or tripod with it and a small water bottle
Weather resistant

Throw any ideas out there folks, the one thing I'm trying to avoid is to get a roller bag

That's a lot of gear to carry. I sometimes carry both the 410 and 510 in my Lowepro Flipside 200.

Assuming you want to carry the stuff with you all the time, as opposed to using the bag for transportation/storage purposes only, maybe you should consider carrying one backpack and one messenger bag. Have the two cameras in the messenger bag for quick switching, and then all the other stuff on the backpack.

You won't need a rollercase with what you've listed, or a very large backpack - you're not carrying a 600mm prime attached to a body. Try a medium sized backpack - the Lowepro Minitrekker AW is fair sized and would still be manageable to maneouvre around at an event with whilst on your back.It also has a reasonable price point.

For easier access during events, I personally use a shoulder bag and have a body on the other shoulder whilst holding one. Shoulder bags are often more dear than backpacks - the Lowepro Stealth Reporter bags or Domke bags are among the better ones I've come across.

I've been using the Lowepro CompuTrekker AW (as well as a Stealth Reporter D300 for daily use) and it work well. There's plenty of space to fit your gear and an easy system for carrying a mono-/tripod.

Take a look at their modular set up. Click on "Modular" Components near the top. That way, you buy holsters and bags specific to your equipment. They slide onto your belt or shoulder harness and you're good to go. They have a belt, but I think the Belly Dancer is easier on the back.

That's a lot of stuff... perhaps you should just hire an assistant! haha... I kid...
