I had just bought a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 on a whim at a camera store near my parents house. It is actually a fairly good lens for the price. This photo was either the 3rd or 4th I took with it. Obviously, I was playing with the depth of field. At first, I did not like the photo but it has grown on me.

Here is a link to a little larger version: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chadpope/3 ... 8/sizes/o/

Thanks for looking.

Camera Model: Canon 50D
Lens and focal length: EF 50mm f/1.8
Aperture: 1/8
Shutter Speed: 1/125
Sensitivity: 100
Post processing: none

Been ages since I entered an image here :(

Oops removed the image as it was shot 30/03/09 will do my best to put up another image and keep this as a placeholder!

Here's the replacement, sorry it's rushed will not have much time for photography over the next couple of weeks so thought I would put something in instread of leaving an empty placeholder.

Okay, first time I take part in on assignment, so here it goes.

Too me spring is a lot, and one of those things is when Dad brings out the bike, and take me for a ride. Riding a bike is really a great way to explore the springtime as you feel close to the nature and see so much during the ride.
So my submission is a HDR image of my dads bike, most significant of all is maybe that the bike is 15 years old :D

Springtime...when natures beauty starts to come to life. Even an old and diseased tree hanging on to life is not forgotten. I just loved the colourful pink buds growing amongst the decay sue :)

I was trying to find something springy but the flowers haven't started to bloom, the trees are still dead, the Squirrel is the first sign of spring I've seen.
