Olympus E-500, ZD50 Macro, f/5 @ 50 mm, 1/60, ISO 200, No flash

I found this little Chinese token on a tree branch in the Jardin du Luxembourg this afternoon. 2009 is the year of ox in the Chinese zodiac and this token will bring good luck (or keep safe?) to people who are 12/24/36/48/60/72/84 etc.. years old this year. The red strip also means good luck to Chinese people.

I'm not superstitious but my parents kind of are. My mom phoned me in the beginning of the year and asked me to wear something red because I'm turning 24.

Be safe.

Cheers,
Tony

Lucky "from the feet shot" I took this shot and got really lucky with it, because i wasnt really looking through the viewfinder at all, just had a feeling that such an angle was going to be good.

Luck is all you need sometimes :D

This image represents both good and bad luck.

Bad part: it got stuck in it...
