I ment people in general. The people who would know or work out how to get OS X on a non Mac syste, wouldnt care.

Apples market share is growing because of various reasons, price isnt one of them.

Their computers look better, are more userfriendly, etc.

Im on about the non-removeable battery - not the exploding ones hah!

True, that's a very smart trick apple uses. If your battery dies you get ripped off for a replacement, or you have to buy their new product.

That's the incredibly smart apple way I hate so much...

I just hope that nice mac pro board can slot in Octo Core Xeons 8)

16 cores...thats getting silly =D

and yes, apple hardwear looks amazing, well apart from the glossy screens, i liked the white iMacs with matt screens best!

Wel, 16 cores definitely is not silly if you use (semi) professional apps like photoshop or 3DSmax.

Going from one 3 GHZ core to 4 3 GHZ cores certainly sped up my 3D rendering ;)

I was being funny, of course 16 cores is useful!

But it just starting to sound funny, like imagine, we used to use single core processors haha!

Good, thing i didn't save up for an iMac, at half the spec and twice the price of my new Desktop! Anyway i am about (for the second time) to enter the world of HACKINTOSH, although this time hopefully it will work out a little more smoothly for me! Also i don't know how there going to sell much now considering how much they have put their 'underpowered, overpriced but absoulutely gorgeous' iMacs up by several millon pounds to just 10 Million

I think we can agree on that one, obviously the price is not an advantage with any Apple computer. Oddly enough, I don't think the Macs look that great. They do look nice but when I bought my MBP, it was either that or a Thinkpad. 8)

I LOVE IBM Thinkpads!!!!

Super stupid simple design - its just so ... i dunno to the point! haha!

And they withstand the US military stress test stock, without any special armor or anything haha.

Citruspers: "I hope you are not referring to me." (from the first page)

Structure of suspicious is reflecting the structure of personality :-)

it's not mine, it's a principe in psychology...

same here, the reason i went mac was that i needed a system the was stable ad crash proof (mainly for my music production) and the apple and osx partnership worked for me....

and before people say pc's dont crash etc, i used to run a dual core 3.2GHz xeon audio pc and have been a pc user for the last 15-20 years and still am, but the mac is more stable for my needs....

BUYAMAC  <---------------------JOKE.

Meh, bad reasoning ;)
No, I just wanted to prevent confusion. Maybe my message was interpreted wrongly ;)

I get more kernel panics than BSODs but it helps that kernal panics are far more attractive to look at. 8)

I've never actually had a BSOD with Windows, I've had just about everything else though.
