Thanks for that. I just upgraded my firmware. It was a very straightforward process that took less than 5 minutes.

I will not mess with my D80 before I go to New Zealand. Anything goes wrong, the body goes to the service?!?! No chance!
After I come back from NZ, I'll upgrade...

Are there any details on what the upgrade does?

[edit] If i had bothered to actually click the link I would've found the answer to that. :)

It's nice to see that Nikon have thought of us Mac users. /sarcasm

Even after re-reading the instructions from Nikon I can't see how to select firmware A. The only one that can be upgraded is firmware B. Help, please.

Never mind. I figured it out after I went up a little higher in the instructions.
I found I needed to copy of part A update data to the card, put it in the camera and run the update. Then delete the part A update file and copy the part B update file and do the same thing again.
Everything's fine.
