I'm trying to work out how much to charge a potential client for covering her wedding. Is there any guideline out there as to how wedding photographers decide what to charge? I've looked at a few wedding photographer websites and I've spoken to a few. They're all asking for anything from £600 to £2000 (!!) just for covering the event.

The things I've been asked to do are to cover:
a) The wedding service.
b) Group photos after
c) Some candids thrown in for good measure.

They're expecting about 60 prints of keepers and I was thinking of giving them the CDs with photos on them too.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I usually charge for all rights on the pictures, so they more or less own them after paying. On my opinion £20-30 a picture is a fair price.
