Good subject, I think I'll be able to do this one. I like when the assignment has more narrow rules. It means I can really focus on getting something instead of sitting there wondering what to shoot. I'll know it when I see it now.

Yes, I think this would be a really good assignment topic. Of course, I'm currently all out of ideas...

Lensbaby my thoughts exactly...............i keep thinking no-one has posted anything yet, i bet everyone is waiting in the sidelines for the first post to see what it is before they submit.

Shagrath im now on Plan C I would have posted something sunday, except im not sure if it is actually classed as tension. Also i dont know about everybody else, but due to work commitments the only time i can get a chance to do anything is the weekend. :(

Morning gang.... hope you are all suffering horribly.

You all probably thought "this mikeroch feller has already got something up his sleeve ready to roll out" ... well folks, not so ... I confess that on Feb 1st I was scratching my head along with the rest of you.

The << TENSION >> idea came as the result of admiring the work produced by a young sculptor I visited some years ago who always tried to include that quality in his pieces, they were very effective and it gave them a certain energy which I admired. The chance to set a task on this subject seemed to me a good opportunity to get a bunch of people all revved-up and fully focussed on it.

As hornets' nests go ... it's not especially stirred-up yet I notice. The weather in Scotland is a bit grim at present which has cramped my style somewhat for going out and about looking for subjects, so I sought an indoor alternative. To set the ball rolling I've submitted a picture of some weary old codger whiling away his remaining days in futile, time-wasting activity.

Oh my God ....... it's ME!!

Rough day in NW Scotland, taken out of the window at 09:00 just now ... there's a mountain in there somewhere near the sun if you look hard enough.
