Some pics here of our young dog, Freja, a 5.5 month old Norwegian Elkhound. Capturing her sitting still is pretty difficult sometimes!

I'm just trying to get to grips with 'M' mode at the moment, so haven't always been totally focussed (sorry about the pun) on getting the aperture setting right. Any comments gratefully received!

A couple of recent shots of Freja using my 55-200 VR at 55mm f4. As she is predeominatly grey, she looks even more lovely in B&W!

Hi BBR

The exif data is:

Focal length- 18mm
Max Aperture - f3.5
Selected Aperture - f7.1
Exp - 1/160
Mode - Shutter Priority

I appreciate what you are staying about the widest aperture to create bokeh, and nowadays I use the 'M' mode a lot more as I find it makes me think more about settings. Of course, when photographin a puppy, speed is often the priority!

Aww - cheers Neil! Shows what you can do with a 18-55 VR kit lens! (which incidentally an opinionated camera shop assistant said was 'too cheap' to be on my D90!)
