I think my DMC-FZ50 may be defective. If I set the main dial on top to Aperture Priority (A), then turning one of the adjustment wheels - front or rear - should change the aperture, but they don't. If I go to the menu item for 'DIREC.EX.COMP', I can select one of three settings for exposure compensation, using either the front wheel, rear wheel or off. I've tried all three, and I get exposure compensation fine but no aperture adjustment on the other wheel. The same is true for Shutter Priority (S). If anyone knows whether this is a defect or if there is another adjustment I have to make to get A and P to work, please let me know. Thanks. -Martin Adams
That does indeed sound like it is something wrong with the camera. My FZ50 have never done anything like that. I recomend that you should take the camera to the store you bought it from and have them check it for you.
