I'm on holidays and I managed to drop my TZ5 camera. The camera still works but the very front part of the lens housing (where it says 'Leica') it bent and the shutter cover wont close. The lens is also slower at zooming though not by much.

The camera still works but I was wondering if it seems like something that would be easy to repair?

This is very hard to judge from a distance. But unfortunately, to me it doesn't sound like a "simple" repair
Did you get any professional insight as to the topic?

I agree, it doesnt seem to simplex, but do you have anouther camera, so you can take a pic of your TZ-3, and you can show us what the damage looks like

The inability of the lens to move normally means there's increased friction where damage was done. The increased friction and drag will burn out the little motor eventually. If they repair the camera and don't replace the motor, it will likely fail again.
