I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC FX35 in Japan recently. When I charged it up, I discovered that there is no option to change the language setting to English. I wrote to Panasonic and they said that FX-35 is only available in Japanese! That's all they said and didn't offer any solution. So now, after 2 months of frustration and being unable to fully use my camera (other than point and shoot), I'm here to ask for your help.

I also read that FX-35 and FX-36 are the exact same hardware model, with the only difference being that one is sold only in Japan while the other is sold worldwide. So, the FX35 only has Japanese while the FX-36 has seven languages. Therefore, would it be possible to flash the FX35 with the FX36 firmware ? Could you please help me out with some advice?

Thanks !
