My DSLR is too bulky to carry everywhere! I want something smaller.
Now, I'm considering Pano Lx7 or GX1.

Will 24-90mm range be too limiting?? I don't wanna carry multiple lenses around! (If I decide on GX1, I'll probably go with primes.) ARRRGGGHHH HELP!

Thanks.

Primes? Plural? Doesn't that qualify as multiple lenses?

As for the focal length being too limiting for you, why not just check the EXIF on the images you've already taken?

I have a similar dilemma. I need a 2nd travel camera and am drawn to the GX1 but for a little more money I can have a G5 that has a viewfinder.
Under pressure to make a decision soon. Anyone care to comment. I have had a GH1 for some time and find it very good but need a backup as the next trip is a once in a lifetime event.

If you're just looking for a 2nd body to use as a backup, I guess you might as well go with the G5. But personally, I'd like something different from my primary (which is why I bought a Sony RX100 as a backup to my GH2), so I'd lean toward the GX1 because it's smaller. Yes, the GX1 doesn't have a viewfinder (nor does it have a tilt-swivel LCD), but if you need a viewfinder (or tilt-swivel LCD), that's what you have the GH1 for.

But if I may further muddy the water, how about an Oly E-M5? Viewfinder, tilt (only) LCD, better IQ, slightly smaller than the GH1, but costs even more than a G5.

Well, I decided on 2nd hand OM-d E-m5 with 14-150mm and 25mm. Now I wonder if I should have gone with Olympus PL5 or PM2 for form factor. *sigh*

Congrats on yuor GX1, there's load of fantastic lenses for the M4/3 system. I'd recommend the 7-14mm for an ultra wide zoom, the 20mm f1.7 or 25mm f1.4 for a general purpose and the Olympus 45mm f1.8 for a short tele.

You may enjoy my working holiday video series! I'm still travelling with the GX1 after 9 months and am really happy with the results. I post a new photo several times a week in my social media streams if you're interested...

Thanks Gordon.
So far seems a nifty little camera that will complement the GH1. Heading for the Ross Sea and Scott Base in the Antarctic on Tuesday so the gear will get a good workout over the next month.
