Hello everyone,

I have recently become the owner of a Lumix Z1000 and have a question about the functionality of the manual mode and in particular, the shutter speed processing.

When I take a photo where the shutter speed is 1 second or longer, the camera then takes that exact same time to process the image. This is a little odd and can be a bit of a pain especially when taking 15, 30, or 60 second exposures as I then have to wait double the amount of time to see the result.

Has anyone else come across this problem and know of a fix?

As to your Q: I don't know the camera, but it seems like it s doing some kind of extra processing with low-light photos. On some cameras there is something called "dark-frame subtraction" which subtracts the noise-pattern of the non-exposed sensor from the shot that has just been made. So this might be the reason.
