I just picked up my FZ100 over the weekend. So far, I'm really happy with it. Still lots of testing to do though.

Problem is, I'm going camping next weekend, so I won't really have to much access to AC. I've tried to find an extra battery, but they don't exist yet. Panasonic says they haven't manufactured replacement batteries.

My next thought was a car charger. With all the comparability issues, is there one that will work without damaging the battery or camera?

Now I have what seems to be a really nice tool, but if I run out of a charge, I'm going to be up a creek with no camera.

Any suggestions?

A DC to AC power inverter will allow you to use the mains charger on your car battery and will allow so for many different devices as long as they are within the capacity of the inverter.

More versatile.
